Questions

Pole Fitness

 

  • What do I need to wear to Pole Fitness? Pole Fitness requires maximum skin contact so shorts and vest tops are ideal to allow as much skin to conatct the pole as possible. Trousers or leggings should only be worn for your warm up. All jewellry must be removed before class.

  • What do I need to bring? Something comfortable to warm up in (gym trousers or leggings and a jumper.) We also recommend you bring a bottle of water to keep you hydrated. 

  • Will it hurt? You may notice you get some bruises initially from the skin contact with the pole and you are likely to experience muscle soreness especially in your upper body. These are completely normal and as you progress and get stronger, this will subside.

  • Do I need to have upper body strength? Definitely not. Your course will include strength and conditioning exercises which will help to build your strength and help you progress safely and effectively. 

  • Do I need to lose weight first? NO!!!. Pole Fitness is for everyone, all shapes, sizes and fitness levels are welcome.

  • Am I too old / too young? We have clients  from 18 - 60 plus. Our classes are open to anyone who would like to learn. 

Aerial Hoop

 

  • What do I need to wear to Aerial Hoop? Hoop is opposite to pole and requires no skin contact. Clothing should be form fitting (not loose or baggy). Layers are recommended so you can remove items as you get warmer. All jewellry must be removed and long hair tied back to ensure nothing gets caught in the aerial rigging. 

  • What do I need to bring? Clothes to warm up in and a bottle of water to keep you hydrated.

  • Will it hurt? You may experience some bruising from pressure and contact with the metal hoop. You are also likely to experience some muscle soreness which is normal following any aerial fitness class. 

  • Do I need to have upper body strength? Definitely not. Your course will include strength and conditioning exercises which will help to build your strength and help you progress safely and effectively.

Anti Gravity Yoga

 

  • What do I need to wear to AGY? Its best to avoid baggy clothing to ensure you don't get caght in the hammock and rigging. Form fitting bottoms are ideal, leggings or sports tights. A sleeved top is a must, this not only protects your underarms but it also helps to protect the hammock. Socks are also recommended. 

  • What do I need to bring? Yoga matts are provided but if you prefer to bring your own, you are welcome to. You will also want to bring a bottle of water to keep hydrated. 

  • Will the hammock hold me? Yes. The Harrison Hammocks are load tested to 1000lbs. They're very strong designed to support you body throughout the session. 

  • I've never taken a yoga class before, does this matter?  No problem, you don't need any previous experience. The class is suitable for all levels and experiences.

Everything else

 

  • Is there somewhere I can get changed? Yes. We have large washroom facilities where you can get changed.

  • Do you have parking? Yes. We have parking around the studio. visit our HOW TO FIND US page for more details.

  • What happens if I'm late for class? Unfortunately if you are unable to attend the warm up, for saftey reasons, you will not be permitted to enter the session. It is imperitive that you complete the warm up at the start of each class to ensure your body is ready for exercise. 

  • What happens if I can no longer make my session? We have a 12 our cancellation window for all members classes. If you cancel your place within tis time your credit will automatically be return ed to you. Any thing outside of this time frame will be classed as a late cancel. Courses & workshops are non refundable and non transferable. 

  • I'm nervous about starting? Can I come and watch? To ensure we provide a safe and comfortable environment for our participants, we are unable to allow spectators during any sessions.
